Fancy Ink 2014

When I was in the Senior Exhibition in UW Stevens Point, I was given an opportunity to find my art style in a medium that would show my interest in drawing and music. My idea was to create a short film that would be inspired by Disney’s Fantasia with alternative imagery and modern music. The challenge was how the story will be put together and how to display it as an exhibit. I first created various scenes that would connect with a chosen score of music. Then I came up with a character who finds a pair of glasses and what he saw inside were various scenes that I have drawn, connecting the story from start to finish without dialogue. Displaying the finished video required a projector in the exhibition room, and some headphones that would hook up for people to wear and listen for the music so that it would not disturb other exhibits in the room. The display was a success with a seven-minute video playing in a loop. The video is below for your viewing experience. Note: The seven minutes sentence in the beginning was meant for the looping in the exhibition to notify viewers who were wearing the headphones.

All-Nighter

I made this short film when I was in Advanced Drawing back in 2014. The film is about an art student who is pulling an all-nighter to finish a painting that is due the next day. Even though the student is too tired to even start, he finds what is necessary to finish his project. The video is below for your viewing experience.
